The Practice of Returning

An 8-week group to support you in meeting life’s challenges with self-compassion while cultivating a deeper trust in your inherent goodness.

These times carry the gravity of a world in upheaval. How can we meet this collective turmoil, as well as our own personal challenges, in ways that are centered, kind, and connected to our own (and others’) goodness?

Inspired by the teachings in Tara Brach’s book Trusting the Gold, in this group we’ll explore practical ways to bring mindfulness and self-compassion to life’s pain and complexities. Through reflections and simple practices, we’ll learn how to meet overwhelm, avoidance, and inner criticism with more presence and gentleness.

At the heart of the group is an inquiry into what it means to “trust the gold” within, and to return again and again to a sense of inherent wholeness, even (and especially) in moments of fear, judgment, and doubt.

These are weighty times, and community is essential. You’re warmly invited to join this space of reflection, authenticity, presence, and connection as together we practice returning to our natural goodness.

Past Groups

A Year to Live
How would you live this year as if it were your last?

And how might exploring the reality of death open new dimensions of living?

Drawing from the timeless teachings in Stephen Levine’s book, A Year to Live, this yearlong program offers a focused exploration of letting go, loss, and death - creating space for an amplified experience of meaning, life, and living. Within the caring support of a small cohort, face the fear of fully living, align with what matters most, and mindfully clear the way for what is to come.

The Artist's Way
Immerse yourself in a transformative journey with Julia Cameron's celebrated book, The Artist’s Way. This course is a unique opportunity to listen deeply to what holds meaning in the current season of your life, expand self-awareness, and reclaim the creative principle shaping your path. Cameron’s framework helps dismantle the inner blocks that limit expression, guiding a return to what evokes true aliveness.

8-week Grief Support Group

Grief can be an incredibly isolating experience. When we offer one another the gift of reciprocal witnessing, our hearts remember we're not alone. Gather in a safe and welcoming space with others who are navigating the loss of a loved one. You'll have the opportunity to identify the various expressions of grief and learn practices for tending challenging emotions. Receive support with self-identity changes and strengthening resiliency so you can integrate your loss in meaningful ways.

Living in Gratitude

You’re invited to experience the transformative power of gratitude. Using Angeles Arrien’s Living in Gratitude as our guide, we’ll explore gratitude as a spiritual practice that nurtures emotional and physical well-being, expands our capacity for love, and cultivates a deeper sense of connection with humanity and the more-than-human world. As gratitude becomes an intentional activity, discover its potential to open new ways of seeing, feeling, and being.

Widening the Circle of Support:

Sharing our grief in community and with the more-than-human world

Together, we'll create intentional space to honor personal and collective losses, recognize grief’s impact, offer gratitude for what and who we love, and deepen our connection through sharing. You’ll be invited to awaken your relationship with the more-than-human world through periods of solo time on the land and nature-connection practices. Enliven your sense of belonging to the greater Earth body, and discover new dimensions of guidance and support to navigate the challenges of change.
